Day 1 Bangkok - Chiang Rai
Transfer from Bangkok hotel to bus terminal.
Evening departure from Bangkok for Chiang Rai by air-conditioned coach. Overnight on coach. (If by air, begin with Day 2)

 Day 2 Chiang Rai – Chiangsaen – Golden Triangle (L-D)
Upon arrival at Chiang Rai, welcome and transfer to hotel.
Lunch followed by afternoon visit to Chiangsaen, the ancient capital of Lanna Kingdom . Then continue to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand , Myanmar and Laos meet, before returning to hotel.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 Day 3 Elephant Safari (B-L-D)
American breakfast.
Morning travel by boat on Mae Kok River about an hour from Chiang Rai to Karen Ruam Mitr Village . Start 8 kms. Elephant Safari. From village, cross rice paddies and climb a ridge from which one enjoys spectacular view of the mountains around Chiang Rai. Once across the ridge, decend to Yao hilltribe village where vehicle picks up guests to have lunmch at the Reforestation Office and visit a waterfall.
Afternoon, return to hotel, rest of day free.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 Day 4 Pharathat Doi Tung – Hilltribe Village – Mae Sai – Bangkok (B-L)
American breakfast at hotel.
Morning visit to Phrathat Doi Tung, Akha village, and Lahu village.
Lunch at Mae Sai local restaurant.
Afternoon visit to border between Thailand and Myanmar and then return to Chiang Rai. Transfer to airport for flight TG-133 or air-conditioned coach at 19.30 hrs.
** No transfer service upon arrival at Bangkok .
